This guide will walk you through setting up the ZyXEL G-4100 to work with Wireless Orbit. If you need information on basic configuration of the gateway, please consult the external links section of the ZyXEL G-4100 page of this wiki.

Authentication

G-4100 Authentication Configuration Page

After logging onto the G-4100's administration interface, click on Advanced in the menu on the left, then click on Authentication. From here:

  • Click on the Built-in Authentication checkbox
  • Click on the Apply button

Customization

Now click on the Customization link in the menu on the left. This should display the Customization page, and the Login Page tab should be selected. If it is not, click on the Login Page tab. From here:

  • Click on the Redirect checkbox
  • In the Redirect Login Page URL blank enter the login portal URL for this gateway. If you don't already know that this URL is, just check the gateway details in the Gateways page of the Control Center.
  • Click on the Apply button at the bottom of the page

RADIUS

Now click on the RADIUS link in the menu on the left. From here:

  • Click on the Enable checkbox
  • In the Accumulation -- Idle Time Out blank enter your desired idle timeout
  • In the Server IP blank for the Primary RADIUS Server enter "69.36.234.20"
  • In the Authentication Port blank enter "1812"
  • In the Accounting Port blank enter "1813"
  • In the Secret Key blank enter the secret key you defined in the RADIUS profile for this gateway (in the Control Center). If you're not sure what that is, just check the gateway details in the Gateways page of the Control Center.
  • Click on the Enable checkbox for Accounting Service
  • From the Authentication Method pulldown select "PAP"
  • Click on the Apply button at the bottom of the page

You will be prompted to reboot the gateway. Do so, then log back into the administration interface.

Walled Garden

When the gateway has rebooted and you've logged back into the administration interface, click on Advanced in the menu on the left, then click on Walled Garden. From here:
