Usage limit types define the type of resource measured by usage limits.

Time Online

The limit applies to actual online session time. So if the limit is one hour and the user logs in for 15 minutes and then logs out, they have 45 minutes left. If they log in the following day, they'll still have 45 minutes left.

Calendar Time (From First Login)

The limit applies to the amount of time elapsed from the first time the account logs in. If the limit is one day and the user logs in for 15 minutes and then logs out, the account will expire 24 hours from the login time, regardless of whether or not the user logs in again.

Calendar Time (From Account Creation)

The limit applies to the amount of time elapsed from when the account is created. If the limit is one month, then the account will expire one month after the account is created regardless of whether or not the user logs in or how much time the user spends online.

Download Bandwidth Used

The limit applies to the number of bytes downloaded by the user. This is a total applied over the life of the account. This is different than a bandwidth limit, which controls the rate at which the user can upload or download from the internet. The usage limit type determines how much the user can download, the bandwidth limit determines how fast the user can download.

Upload Bandwidth Used

The limit applies to the number of bytes uploaded by the user. This is a total applied over the life of the account. This is different than a bandwidth limit, which controls the rate at which the user can upload or download from the internet. The usage limit type determines how much the user can upload, the bandwidth limit determines how fast the user can upload.

Number Of Logins

The limit applies to the number of successful logins made by the account.
