In this example we'll set up everything needed to allow online signups for accounts good for one hour of session time. The accounts will sell for $5.

Usage Limits

The Usage Limits Page

In the Control Center, click on Usage Limits in the main menu to the left and then on Add in the navbar along the top. From here:

  • In the Usage Limit Name blank enter "1 hour"
  • From the Usage Limit Type pulldown select "Time Online"
  • In the Duration blank enter "1" and select "hour(s)" from the dropdown
  • Click on the Add button

This will give you a confirmation message.

Usage Plans

The Usage Plans Page

Now click on Usage Plans in the main menu and then on Add in the navbar. From here:

  • In the Usage Plan Name blank enter "By the hour"
  • In the Usage Limit area highlight "1 hour" in the list of limits
  • Click on > (the right arrow) to move the selected limit to the right
  • Click on the Add button

This will give you a confirmation message.

Account Classes

The Account Classes Page

Now click on Account Classes in the main menu and then on Add in the navbar. From here:

  • In the Account Class Name blank enter "Hourly users"
  • Leave the Bandwidth Plan selection at "Unlimited" (this should be the default unless you've deleted the default bandwidth plans that were created for your account)
  • From the Usage Plan pulldown select "By the hour"
  • From the Account Type pulldown select "User Account"
  • Click on the Add button

This will give you a confirmation message.

Payment Plans

The Payment Plans Page

Now click on Payment Plans in the main menu and then on Add in the navbar. From here:

  • In the Name blank enter "Hourly user payments"
  • In the Signup Text blank enter "1 hour for $5"
  • From the Account Class pulldown select "Hourly users"
  • In the Account Class Multiplier blank enter "1"
  • Leave the Currency selection at "US Dollar"
  • In the Price blank enter "5.00"
  • Click on the Add button

This will give you a confirmation message.

Login Portals

Editing A Login Portal

If you haven't configured any login portals yet, consult the login portal examples for more information about how to do this.

Now click on Login Portals in the main menu and then on Edit in the navbar. From here:

  • Click on the Edit button next to one of your login portals
  • From the Payment Gateway pulldown select "My Payment Gateway". If you haven't configured any payment gateways yet, see the payment gateway examples for information about how to do this.
  • In the Payment Plan selection highlight "Hourly user payments"
  • Click on > (the right arrow) to move the selected payment to the right
  • Click on the Edit button

Signups

Example Signup Page

You have now completed the configuration. When a customer clicks on the Sign Up link in the login portal, they will see the "1 hour for $5" option. If they sign up for an account, they will get one hour worth of session time.
