The Logging page allows you to view log messages associated with your wireless services.

List
Lists a summary of all available log messages. This list includes both Control Center activity, login activity, and errors. This list is useful if you're trying to see the overall timeline of events associated with your service. For example, if you suddenly started seeing a bunch of login errors, you might want to check this list to see if there were any configuration changes made shortly before the errors started appearing.
Control Center
Lists the Control Center log messages. This list includes details about configuration actions taken in the Control Center. Whenever you add, edit, or delete something in the Control Center it will show up here.
Usage
Lists the login activity for your gateways.
Errors
Lists all the login errors for your gateways.

Glossary

Account Name
In the usage and error logs this is the name of the account affected.
Action
The type of action being logged. This will be Add, Edit, or Delete.
Authentication
In the usage log this is the timestamp of the account authentication. In normal operation any entry with an authentication time should also have a Session Start time. If you see many log entries with one but not the other this could indicate a network problem.
Bytes Down
In the usage log this is the number of bytes downloaded in the session. This will only be displayed for sessions which have ended.
Bytes Up
In the usage log this is the number of bytes uploaded in the session. This will only be displayed for sessions which have ended.
Duration
In the usage log this is the length of time of the recorded session. This column will only contain a value if both the Session Start and Session End are set.
Gateway Name
In the usage and error logs this is the name of the gateway reporting the login information.
Message
The actual text of the event logged. This will usually be a short informational message recorded by the Control Center itself.
Name
The name of the object affected by the log event. This will usually be the short name you defined for the thing affected. For gateways this will be the gateway name, for accounts it will be the account name, and so forth.
Session End
In the usage log this is the timestamp of the session end. If you see a log entry in which this is blank, this indicates that the session has not ended.
Session Start
In the usage log this is the timestamp of the session start. In normal operation any entry with a session start time should also have an Authentication time. If you see many log entries with one but not the other this could indicate a network problem.
Station ID
In the usage log this is the station ID reported by the gateway. This is usually the MAC address of the computer from which the session originated.
Terminate Cause
In the usage log this is the reason given by the gateway for ending the session. This will only be displayed for sessions which have ended.
Timestamp
The time the event occurred. The format and timezone are controlled by your Control Center settings.
Type
In the Control Center logs, the Type column identifies the type of thing affected by the log event. This will be something like usage limit or gateway and so forth.
