Ikarus OS Configuration

This guide will walk you through setting up AntCor Ikarus OS to work with Wireless Orbit. If you need information on installing or upgrading Ikarus OS, please consult the external links section of the AntCor Ikarus OS page of this wiki.

This guide assumes you're using AntCor's Ikarus Manager interface to configure the gateway. The same configuration options apply if you're using the command line interface, although individual steps will be a little different.

Hotspot Configuration Wizard

After logging onto your gateway using Ikarus Manager, select the node for your gateway, then select Advanced Node Configuration. From there:

• Click on the Hotspot tab
• Click on the Start Wizard button
• Proceed through the steps up to the Radius section configuring things appropriately for your network. Consult the Ikarus OS documentation if you have any questions about this stage of the configuration.

Radius Configuration

If you're following along, you should now be at the Radius section in the hotspot configuration wizard. From there:

• In the IP Address 1 blank enter "69.36.234.20"
• From the Authentication Method pulldown select PAP
• In the Secret Key blank enter the secret key you defined in the RADIUS profile for this gateway (in the Wireless Orbit Control Center). If you're not sure what that is, just check the gateway details in the Gateways page of the Control Center.
• In the NAS ID blank enter the name of the gateway
• In the Authentication Port blank enter 1812
• In the Accounting Port blank enter 1813
• Click on the Next button

Auth Type Configuration

If you're following along, you should now be at the Auth Type section in the hotspot configuration wizard. From there:

• Check/enable the Enable checkbox in the UAM Authentication area
• In the Domain blank enter "https://portal.wirelessorbit.com/portal/index.php"
• In the Secret blank enter the UAM secret you defined when you configured this gateway in the Wireless Orbit Control Center. If you're not sure what that is, just check the gateway details in the Gateways page of the Control Center.
• Check/enable the Enable checkbox in the MAC Authentication area
• Leave the Suffix blank empty
• Click on the Next button

Walled Garden Configuration

If you're following along, you should now be at the Walled Garden section in the hotspot configuration wizard. From there:

• In the first blank enter "portal.wirelessorbit.com"
• Add any URLs used by any payment gateways you're using
• Click on the Next button

Remaining Configuration

If you're following along, you should now be at the Advertisement URLs section in the hotspot configuration wizard. From there:

• Leave the blanks empty
• Click on the Next button, which should take you to the Web Customization section
• Leave the blanks empty
• Click on the Next button, which should take you to the Summary section
• Click on the Submit button, which should take you back to the Hotspot Configuration page where you started the wizard
• Check/enable the Enable Hotspot checkbox
