Gateways

Gateways are the wireless hardware that route traffic between your customers and the internet. Typically you will have one gateway configuration in the Control Center for each wireless gateway in your network.
The gateways page allows you to add, edit, and delete gateway configurations.

- Lists all of the gateways you have configured.

- Allows you to add a new gateway configuration.
- Edit
- Allows you to edit existing gateway configurations.

- Allows you to delete gateway configurations.

- Allows you to search gateway configurations.
Glossary
- Enabled
- Uncheck the Enabled checkbox to prevent the gateway from being used.
- Gateway Name
- Used to identify the gateway in the Control Center. This should be short and unique.
- Hostname
- The hostname of this gateway. Only used with dynamic IP addresses.
- IP Address
- The internet-facing IP address of your gateway. Only used with a static IP address.
- IP Address Type
- Can be set to Static IP Address if your gateway uses a static IP, or Dynamic IP Address if you are using a dynamic IP.
- Login Portal
- The login portal to use for the captive portal on this gateway. If this is set to None logins will be disabled on this gateway unless the gateway has a built-in captive portal page configured. For more information, see the Login portals page.
- Login Portal URL
- The URL of the login portal for this gateway. This is the gateway should redirect login requests to.
- Portal ID
- The unique ID of the login portal for this gateway. If you have to manually load a login form onto the gateway, you may need to edit this ID into the login form.
- RADIUS Profile
- The RADIUS profile to use for this gateway. If set, this will override the company default RADIUS profile and the RADIUS profile of any gateway groups this gateway is a member of. For more information, see the RADIUS Profiles page.
- Type
- The hardware vendor and model or firmware revision. Choose the option that best matches your gateway.
- Use HTTPS
- Select whether or not to use HTTPS when submitting the login form. This controls the action between the enduser's browser and the gateway. In general this should be selected. Exceptions include the default configuration of m0n0wall and MikroTik RouterOS (which require configuring SSL certificates to allow this)
