Account classes

Account classes are one of the building blocks used to define an account. Account classes define the default usage and bandwidth limits associated with types of accounts within your wireless network.

The account classes page allows you to add, edit, and delete account classes.

List

Lists all of the account classes you have configured.

Add

Allows you to create account classes.

Edit

Allows you to edit account classes.

Delete

Allows you to delete account classes. If there are accounts that are members of the selected account class, you'll receive a warning that deleting the account class will affect existing accounts. If you delete the account class, affected accounts will end up with no account class (and will therefore have no usage or bandwidth limits).

Express

Interface for creating simple account classes without having to create the associated bandwidth and usage plans beforehand.

Glossary

Account class name

The account class name is used throughout the Control Center to identify the class. It should be short and unique.

Account type

The basic kind of account in this account class. See the Account types page for more details.

Allow online rewewals

If set, this allows users to renew their account by paying for more time online.

Autodelete

If set, accounts in this account class will automatically be deleted when the paid usage has been used.

Autodelete delay

If autodelete is enabled this controls how long after the account's paid usage is used the account will be deleted. Example: If autodelete delay is set to 8 hours and a customer uses the last of their login time at midnight then the account will be deleted around 08:00 (about 8 hours later).

Bandwidth Plan

The set of bandwidth controls to apply to accounts in this account class. See the page on Bandwidth plans for more details.

Gateway group

If set, accounts in this class will only be permitted to log onto gateways in the given gateway group.

The set of usage limits to apply to accounts in this account class. See the Usage plans page for more details.
